Xfinity’s New Cloud DVR Feature

If you are like me, my vida doesn’t revolve around a TV schedule anymore. I remember when I was younger, clearing my plans on the nights when I wanted to watch TV or rushing home to make sure I didn’t miss the first few minutes of my favorite program. Now-a-days, I’m always on the go, be it for work or pleasure and it’s only a matter of time before I’m weeks behind my favorite show.

But let’s be honest, even if we are at home, how many times have you been outvoted by roommates/kids/significant others on what you’re going to watch that night? It’s safe to say my reality shows might lose to Sunday Night Football quite often in my casa!

XFINITY is working to make missing your shows and fighting over the remote a thing of the past! With the new Cloud DVR feature, available to X1 customers in specific markets, you can now:

  • Stream and download your recorded DVR programs to any internet-connected device on the go. Yep – this means being able to watch your shows whenever and whenever you want! It’s a perfect way to stay caught up even when traveling.
  • Turn any device into a TV in your home with the ability to live stream tons of channels and On Demand options.
  • Download the XFINITY TV App for X1 to get started: iPhone / Android Example

So what does this Cloud DVR mean for us? It means we can download our DVR shows and taking them on a plane (without an internet connection), you can set the kids up with movies on tablets in the backseat of a long car trip and you can even watch two shows at once – the kids can have control over the TV, while you another show on your tablet!
