Passage to India: Pop-Up Restaurant in Miami
Who likes Indian comida? Well, if you live in Miami…you are in for a real treat! Beginning Thursday, October 3rd, The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami’s signature restaurant, Bizcaya will transform into a rich, vibrant and sultry dinner destination — marrying traditions, spices and flavors of India. Inspired by foods, flavors and culture of his hometown of Chennai, India, Executive Chef Ramesh Kaduru adds a touch of flair this season as he presents A Passage to India: An Authentic Indian Pop-Up Restaurant from Thursday, October 3rd through Sunday, November 3rd. Que rico, verdad?
I’m also really excited about the amazing décor we will be seeing…Las Gringas just love the Grove and the theme is actually peacocks for the pop-up restaurant! For those who dont know, peacocks are often seen strutting around Coconut Grove but they are also India’s national bird. The Ritz is going to be transformed with low lying sheer multicolor fabrics adorn the ceiling from end-to-end, as gold and silver beaded accent pillows sparkle in cozy, soft seating, covered with bold tapestries.
And, an extra special opportunity for those who want to learn how to create Indian delicacies at home: Chef Kaduru invites guests to an intimate and exclusive cooking demonstration in the restaurant’s private dining room. After preparation of each dish, you can enjoy bites and tastes of each including a traditional Lassi beverage, appetizer and entrée. Saturday, October 12th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Las Gringas will be attending a media event..so we will definitely report back on the yummy-ness of the comida! So, who is in? Reservations are strongly recommended by calling (305) 644-4675.
