Prince Royce, Chino y Nacho Honored at BMI Latin Music Awards

It was quite the busy weekend for some of our favorite artistas!! During the 20th Annual BMI Latin Music Awards in Vegas…both Chino y Nacho and Prince Royce were honored as industry songwriters. Felicidades chicos!!

Jesus Miranda (Chino), Miguel Ignacio Mendoza (Nacho), and Pablo Villalobos were awarded a BMI Music Award for the duo’s song, “El Poeta”, the debut single off their sophomore album “Supremo”. In addition, Nacho also took home an award as co-writer on Paulina Rubio’s “Me Gustas Tanto”.

“We’re honored to be recognized by BMI for our part as composers. We’re humbled and grateful to be given the opportunity to share our thoughts and emotions with our fans through music and lyrics.” -Nacho

All the Royce fans also have reason to celebrate! Prince Royce was honored with a 2013 Songwriter of the Year Award and if that wasn’t enough, also received four additional awards in recognition of singles that have been among the most performed songs on US radio and television, “Mi Ultima Carta”, “El Amor Que Perdimos”, “Las Cosas Pequeñas” and “Ven Conmigo”.

“Thank you for this wonderful honor. I joined BMI when I was only 18 years old.  At the time that alone was a huge accomplishment to me and a moment like this was a big dream of mine.  Now that this is a reality, I could not feel more honored and at the same time more humbled and inspired in this room full of amazing songwriters. Thank you BMI and my fellow colleagues, from the bottom of my heart!” – Prince Royce
