Oh My Miercoles: Pitbull Drops “Welcome to 2 Dade County” Aimed at Lil’ Wayne

So, Las Gringas had a minor freak out when we heard that Pitbull released a new song “Welcome 2 Dade County” as it appeared suddenly and with complete random timing. Add to that the Baauer’s Harlem Shake beats he used for the track and we were like whaaaaat is going oooooon?

After a little search-engine action, we finally know the deal-io and here it is: This song is aimed directly at Lil’ Wayne, who totally freaked out on-stage recently and called out the NBA, the Miami Heat, LeBron, Wade and even claimed that he slept with Chris Bosh’s wife at the NBA All-Star afterparty following the February 17 game in Houston.

So, this is Pitbull’s response to Lil’ Wayne tyraid…showing him just who is boss of this city and defending the Miami Heat familia from his insults (check out the lyric below). This track is sick (yes…we just said that) and now that I know the back-story, I love it even more!

“You talk Miami, if you talkin’ heat/ Moral of the story: Don’t sh– where you eat,”

Evidenced by the name, Pit spends most of his lyrics talking about Miami…the 305…Dade County, whatever you want to call it. Having only moved down to SoFla a few years ago, I can by no means claim to be a Miami girl, but I feel some loyalty already to this city. I just love hearing Pitbull express his love and pride for this city! Don’t mess with Miami, unless you want to answer to Pit!

“Here a deposition, watch what you speak
Who’s the definition of Miami? Me
I move cultures, don’t believe me – watch and see
Ask Barack Obama, he’ll bet the White House on me”

Pero ya, we have the song posted below which was pulled from DJ Africa’s Sound Cloud, who we assume was the producer. Let us know what you think!
