We were all super bummed when Wisin y Yandel pulled out of the Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias tour (…lucky for Las Gringas they showed up on the last U.S. tour date in Miami…more on that later!). For WyY fans worldwide though, it looks like we’re all going to get another chance to see the reggaeton duo in person.
Wisin y Yandel officially kicked off their 2012 Liederes World Tour to a sold out crowd of 45, 000 fans in Santo Domingo, and they didn’t hold back at the show!! They put on a two hour set performing a collection of the hits they’ve accumulated in their 13-year career together (hey, that’s longer than most celeb marriages! awww!).
A 10-musician band, 8 female dancers and an intense light/pyrotechnic show along with guest performers Jowell y Randy ensured the fans experienced a show they’d never forget, and if you ask me, this sounds like a heck of display. It kind of makes me understand the whole pulling out of the the JLo/Enrique tour because of “not-being-able-to-put-on-the-kind-of-show-that-they’re-used-to“…sounds totally justified if you ask me.
