Salma Hayek Stars In Upcoming Comedic Drama Here Comes the Boom.
Moving in the complete opposite direction of recent release Savages, Salma Hayek is starring in the upcoming film Here Comes The Boom also known as 2012′s answer to Mr. Holland’s Opus. Hayek will be featured as Bella Flores as a highschool teacher alongside Kevin James as Scott Voss a fellow teacher who goes to extreme measures to help his students and the school (really extreme…we’re talking biology teacher turns MMA fighter here…). Would I be more excited about this film if Salma Hayek was the lead doing the saving? Claro! Pero, its still fun to see that Hayek is a multi-dimensional actor that can play a diverse combination of roles. I mean just these two recent films, Savages y Here Comes the Boom, create a pretty wide spectrum on their own. Throw in a little Frida, Puss In Boots and 30 Rock (just to name a handful!), and it becomes increasingly difficult to deny that Salma has some serious chops. Not to mention, the trailer makes the movie look pretty good too (though, I am a sucker for motivational stuff…).
