Naya Rivera, Christina Aguilera: Winners at ALMA Awards 2012
On Saturday night, the estrellas came together in Pasadena, California for the 2012 ALMA Awards. For a third year in a row, the premios were co-hosted by Eva Longoria and George Lopez….who seem to be the go-to Latino duo for most major events. Presenters for the evening included America Ferrera, Nicole Richie and Zoe Saldana who joined in with a long list of celebrities to celebrate the accomplishments of Latinos in the entertainment industry, spanning music, television and film.
Among the ALMA winners, the most notable for Las Gringas was Voice coach Christina Aguilera, who was given the 2012 NCLR (National Council of La Raza) Special Achievement Award for her career and work in philanthropy. K cool, verdad? Plus, our favorite Glee star, Naya Rivera was honored as best TV actress in a Comedy…a surprising win over the reina of TV, Sofia Vergara. Also…we got to give a daleee shout-out to Pitbull who won the ALMA award for favorite male artista!
