Premios Juventud 2012 Must-See List

Premios Juventud 2012 has arrived!! As you might have noticed, I write a lot of blog posts, but the Must-See Lists for award shows are by far my favorites. Unlike most people who live in Miami and who have been attending these eventos for years, I still get insanely excited at the anticipation of seeing all my favorite artistas. So for those fans who remain un-jaded and are just as emocionado as I am: this Premios Juventud Must-See List is for !

Premios Juventud 2012 Must-See List:

  • The Alfombra Azul: We are in the midst of a hot and humid summer in the 305…so get ready for some super sexy vestidos on the PJ blue carpet! I also hear the theme this year is Super Heroe!! Be sure to use the hashtag #MejorVestido if you are tweeting that night!
  • The Performances: Ay dios…there is just too many to choose from, but since this is a “Must-See” List, I have to narrow it down to a few:
    • I can’t wait to see Wisin y Yandel and I hope they play a song of their new album!
    • La Rubia is for sure excited to see Vazquez Sounds, who gained international attention with their unique take on “Rolling in the Deep.”
    • Chino y Nacho always put on an amazing and dynamic show, I never get tired of seeing them perform! (Hopefully Nacho doesn’t get stuck hanging from the ropes like he did during Premios Billboards…pobrecito!)
    • One of my most beloved Mexican pop groups, Jesse & Joy are fantastic live…looking forward to hearing a song from their latest album, “Con quien se queda el perro”
    • Prince Royce…well, because he is Prince Royce and drives all the chicas wild!
    • We love new artist Matt Hunter…and the National TV debut of his viral hit “Mi Amor” is sure to be super cute!
    • Are you going to make me say it? Pitbull. Uhhh…yes.
  • Presenters and the acceptance speeches: I’m a dork and I love all the different accents and seeing who speaks in English vs. who speaks in Spanish. Plus, with so much music happening, seeing the presenters give me a chance to check out celebrities from other worlds of entertainment like TV actriz Blanca Soto (love her!) and even sports…like Puerto Rican Boxing champ, Miguel Cotto (heeey there papi) who will be making his first appearance at the awards show.

So, who is tuning in to Univision on Thursday, July 19th at 7EST for the Premios Juventud?
