Las Gringas On Spanglish Noise

Las Gringas Discuss Gloria Estefan, Pitbull, JenCarlos Canela y Más with Spanglish Noise!

More than just listening to great música, Las Gringas also really love to talk about it, and recently, we had the chance to chat with a fellow music junkie, Joseph Mitchell of Spanglish Noise! We shared some of our faves from the 305 and beyond, and he gave us the low-down on que pasa with the scene in the Twin Cities!

Spanglish Noise is a podcast created and managed by Mitchell out of Minnesota, and through it he is constantly exploring the world of bilingual music…searching close to home and across the country, listening to everything from obscure up-and-comers to well-known superstars!

In our specific music exchange, Las Gringas offered up some of our favorites including South Florida based duo, Hola Hi‘s “Aire de Primavera, JenCarlos Canela‘s “Baila Baila” feat. Pitbull y El Cata, Gloria Estefan and Pitbull’s collab “Wepa“, and California based La Santa Cecilia‘s “La Negra“.

Joseph brought some of his favorites to the table like Dominican Republic native Niko Eme‘s “Jealous Type“, Puerto Rican group Danny & Elliot‘s “Esa Mirada” Cuban influenced Malamanya‘s “Dimelo” and self-proclaimed “Sotarican” Maria Isa‘s “After Party“.

It was definitely good food for thought, and you can listen to our whole convo by downloading the podcast on iTunes!
