Mr. 305 Heads to the 901!
For those who don’t know, 901 = Memphis, Tennessee which is where Las Gringas met and where our love for the Latino culture began. While Memphis is known for it’s amazing mix of musical influences and endless options for live shows, we have about 2 local salsa bands, a few mariachi groups, and the occasional appearance by Tejano/Ranchero artists. I heard once that Don Omar performed at a local Latin night club and a so-so Bachata group performed at our fairgrounds…but NADA this big has come to the Latin music scene in Memphis….EVER.
-Cue La Rubia and La Roja freaking out-
So, our man, Mr. 305 is heading to the city where it all began for us and performing at the Mid-South’s biggest music celebration, the Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival. We are incredibly, overly ecstatic and we can’t wait to share our journey back home with all our readers.
If you’ve ever had the urge to make the trip to Memphis, this is the perfect time of year to visit! Memphis in May, in addition to the weekend-long music festival also hosts the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest and the Sunset Symphony which are both amazing experiences!
